100 Word Reflections – Passion and Preparation

I had passion about something, expressed it and hoped that passion would carry the day. In some ways it did.</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in">While preparation and knowledge are not substitutes for passion, neither is passion diminished by preparation. But that’s what I was thinking. I was thinking I knew exactly what I wanted to say. What I forgot, is that preparation is about the how. The how is important. Thoughtfulness about the how shows that you care not just about what you are saying, but that you understand who might be listening.
